Here We Are Again
So, I’ve been missing for the past year. What have I been doing? Well…. nothing, really.
I’ve been in isolation like the rest of the country and the world. Or at least, that’s what I thought. You wouldn’t think there was a pandemic happening if you stopped by the local Costco. Everyone is out in force, buying plants, patio furniture, and big screen tvs. People are also buying lots of food and vegetables, too. We usually hit the Costco 2x a month, though it really should only be once a month. But, my husband doesn’t like to freeze milk. It doesn’t taste the same afterwards. Not to mention the fact that I love my Costco muffins! And I’m always finding an excuse to go more than once a month. Perhaps, I just like Costco! I just wish people wore their masks!
Okay, here’s the 411 on the vaccines. And I’m not a doctor, scientist, or any kind of expert. But as a person, who is at high-risk, I appreciate the fact that they are available now! So, about the vaccine… which one is better? The first one that is offered to you! (If you have an allergy or reaction to any of the ingredients, then you can be pickier. But most people don’t have this.) So take whichever one is offered! These vaccines are not a cure for COVID! But, they’re designed so that you’re less likely to get so sick that you’re put on a ventilator or die. You may still get COVID and you may still pass COVID around. So, wear your mask! Social distance! I’ve gotten both of my shots of the Moderna vaccine. The first one was nothing! I didn’t even feel the needle. The second shot hurt more. Then, the side effects of the second shot were a little uncomfortable but I hardly curled up in the fetal position in pain.
I will be trying to blog more. I miss writing. I haven’t written in so long. And you know what that means: more BUJOing. I’m back to my bullet journal. I’ve gotten a new one (starting in mid March) and I hope I can make it prettier than it was last year. Half way through the year, I stopped caring about tracking things and stuff. I’m going to try getting back on track (so to speak).
We’re also going to be improving the home a bit, but nothing really DIY. I’m not a DIYer…more of a Watch Other People Do It — WOPDIer? But perhaps, I’ll get the garden started and plant some herbs outside in the courtyard, get rid of the dead tree that’s there now, and plant something that’s hearty and likes sun outside my office window.
Hopefully, I’ll have lots of things to look back on next year. Only time will tell, I guess.
